Preview of 2019-2020 Hornet Roster
Jackson Benigni (2020) 6’2 guard. Was NEPSAC B Championship Game MVP. Averaged 20 points a game last season for the 25-2 squad. Big time shooter/scorer! Competes on every possession.  Scholarship player, signed NLI to attend and play at Stonehill College.

Jahkai Pettway (2020) 6'4 wing. Good sized wing with solid athletic ability. Can make the three and rebounds at a high level. Has a high IQ and a team leader, hailing from the highly regarded New Haven Heat AAU program.

Ethan Doherty (2021) 5’9 shooting guard. Can get hot (made six threes last season in a game vs. Hopkins) Coach’s son with a good basketball IQ. Tough defender.

Dylan Ratta (2020) 5’10 point guard. Good handle and defends well.

Tony Zhou (2020) 6’2 forward. Strong body; rebounder with solid post moves.
Key Newcomers:
Corey Walters (2021) 6’2 point guard. Transferred back to HH after one year at Hamden High where he enjoyed a good overall season. Tough kid with great handle. Gets to the rim and has an outstanding mid-range shot. Should have a huge season for the Hornets.

Owen McDonough (2021) 6’4 forward. Transferred in from Vermont. He has a big body with real strength but with a soft touch and can really shoot the three. Learning to rebound on both ends. High IQ passer.

Carson Benigini 5’10 (2022) point guard. Plays hard at both ends. Great quickness.

Still very young and unknown, but showing great potential to contribute this season are:
Zavier Carter (9th), Kai Ellis (11th), Michi Holley (9th), Jake Palluzzi (8th), James Lafrance (9th), Tyler Callahan (10th), Bryce Anderson (10th), and Jordan Vermiglio (10th).
