Boys’ Varsity Baseball Stays Undefeated

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled to St. Luke’s School for a rematch game on Thursday, April 9, winning 13-1.
Junior Brian Anderson took the mound as the starting pitcher, striking out six players and only allowing one earned run through five innings. Brian also had success at the plate with two hits and one run.

Senior Nic Scillia went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI’s, senior Luca Faulker had a double and two RBI’s, senior Amato Civitello had one RBI and two hits, and junior Sam Castro had two RBI’s and two hits. Senior Billy Cole, junior Jey Scanlon, and freshman Chase Doyle added runs to the scoreboard for the Hornets to secure the final victory.

Coach Brad Chernovetz noted that the team record is now 8-0 for the season and 6-0 in FAA league play.

The team returns to the field for an away game against Suffield Academy on Friday, April 10, at 4:30 p.m.
