Dear Parents,
For your convenience, Hamden Hall has teamed with BNC Services (our previous vendor, MBS, is now
part of this company), which provides a fast and convenient method of ordering both new and used books.
All information about textbooks for Middle and Upper School courses is included in this digital bookstore.
I have also included specific information about charges for materials that are provided through the school.
Whether or not you choose to purchase your books from BNC, you will find all the titles, editions, and
ISBN numbers that you need listed by department and course title in the online bookstore at
https://bnck12.com/hamdenhall. The bookstore will open on July 19th. The link will also be posted in the Middle and Upper School Parent groups and the Resources page in OnCampus. The School will NOT be publishing or mailing a separate list. BNC has an online buyback program, which you can read about on their website, and
a free shipping period on orders over $99 from July 26th to August 1st.Please read the following information carefully as you select your books:
1. Whether or not you purchase your books through BNC, please be sure to buy the editions specified
by using the ISBN numbers included in the master list.
A student with the wrong edition is at aserious disadvantage. We expect all students to come to class with the required materials for theircourses.2. The book list includes some texts that are marked “new” only. This is critical for workbooks and
for texts that include a digital access code.
3. Please purchase all listed etexts through BNC to avoid costly mistakes.
Read very carefully allinformation provided by BNC. Etexts are typically sent electronically to a student’s emailaccount that you designate at the time of purchase. It is advisable to have this be the student’sHamden Hall email. NEW students should wait to purchase such texts until they havereceived their Hamden Hall email accounts (but do not wait to purchase texts that are sentby mail). ALL students should wait to activate new digital licenses until they have checked inwith their teachers on the first day of class.4. One note of caution: We are not using etexts in every course, so purchase only what is indicated on
the book list.
Texts for English classes must be hard copies.
I hope that this information is helpful.
Best wishes,
Adriana Alcina
