Marie Buenger: Marie will teach Spanish in the Lower School and French in the Middle and Upper Schools. Marie has several years of teaching experience including her most recent teaching assignment at the Foote School. Marie earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Civilization from the Institut Catholique de Rennes and a Master of International Business from ESC Rennes School of Business.

Terry Deck: Hamden Hall teaching legend Terry Deck returns to Hamden Hall this fall and will offer one of his most popular half credit English courses, Literature of the Holocaust. During Terry’s three-decade long tenure at the school, he taught a variety of English classes in the Upper School, served as Dean of Students, was the Head Varsity Baseball coach, assisted with other sports, and was one of the most sought-after advisors. Terry earned his undergraduate and graduate degree from Northern Michigan University.

Taylor DePalma: Taylor will teach fourth grade this year. Taylor comes to us from the New Haven Public Schools where she taught fifth and sixth grade math. Taylor earned a B.S. in Communications from Albertus Magnus College and a M. of Ed. from the University of Bridgeport.

Andrew Downs: Andrew joins our IT team and will serve as Network Administrator. Andrew has worked in a number of IT roles in different public school systems including his most recent post with the Stratford Public School system. Andrew is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Electronics.

Caroline Ford: Caroline will teach Middle and Upper School English. Caroline completed her M.A. in English last spring at the University of Virginia where she also served as a teaching assistant. Caroline has also taught at the Lower and Middle School levels. She is a graduate of Haverford College.

Chloe Lee: Chloe will teach math in the Middle and Upper Schools and will also provide math support in the study center. Chloe earned her B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science Education and a Master of Educational Technology from Hanyang University.

Justin Moore: Justin will serve as Upper School Student Engagement Coordinator and coach. Justin is not new to Hamden Hall as he currently coaches our Boys’ J.V. Basketball Team and the Health and Fitness program. Justin earned a B.A. from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

Natalie Tamjid: Natalie will teach third grade. Natalie comes to us from Springfield Prep Charter School where she has taught third grade for the last several years. Natalie earned a B.S. from Central Connecticut State University.

Jon West: Jon will serve as our Theater Technical Director and will teach in the Arts Department. Jon has several years of theater technical design and makerspace experience, most recently at Quinnipiac University. Jon earned a B.A. in Theater Arts from Ashland University and a M.F.A. from Yale University.

Zachary White: Zach will teach Middle and Upper School English and coach Upper School soccer. Zach is a Fulbright Scholar, serving as a teaching assistant at Hitit University. He has also taught English in the Peace Corps. Zach earned a B.A. in History from Rutgers University and a M.A. from Yale University.
