Hamden Hall Country Day School
Educating students in PreSchool through Grade 12

Three Campuses/
One Community

Hamden Hall is in the unique position of owning three campuses and substantial property.  As
such, we will utilize our main campus at 1108 Whitney Avenue, our new campus at 20 Davis Street, and our Skiff Street Athletic Complex.

Our cohorts will be located as follows:
  • Early Childhood Program:  Butler Building
  • Grades K-4:  Alpert Hall and Blanchard Hall
  • Grades 5 and 6:  Whitson Hall, first floor, and The ACK
  • Grades 7 and 8:  Beckerman Athletic Center - Skiff Street Campus
  • Grades 9-12:  Whitson Hall, second and third floors; Schiavone Science Center; Taylor Performing Arts Center; Swain Library; 20 Davis Street; Whitney House; Dolven Admissions Center; and 1140 Whitney Avenue.
The goal of this measure is to spread our students and staff out as much as possible and reduce the overall density.  The end result is a reduction in the number of students in certain classes, the creation of larger physical classrooms, and limited overall interaction with regard to campus foot traffic.

Seating in all buildings/classrooms will be at least six feet apart and masks will be required for all students
in Grades K-12.  All faculty and staff will also be required to wear face coverings. Students will be required to maintain social distance outside of the classroom.

Exterior tents will be added to each campus in order that students and faculty spend as much time as possible outdoors throughout the school day.
