Wrestlers Win "Snow Brawl" Tournament!

The Varsity Wrestling team has been sweeping the mat with the competition. On Saturday, the Hornets shoveled the competition away when they participated in the Snow Brawl Tournament hosted by Williston-Northampton School. The tournament boasted serious programs including Canterbury, Wilbraham & Monson, St. Paul's from New Hampshire, and Worcester Academy. Not only did the Hornets take home the creative trophies, senior Dylan McNamara, the champion at 132 lbs., also earned the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler Award. Six of the eight Hornet wrestlers made it to the final round. Other individual winners were 8th graders Roman Minotti at 106 lbs., Aiden Hebert at 126, Connor Massey at 145, and Wyn Veiga at 152. Klyde Auba took home the silver at 182; Ethan Fuoco earned Bronze at 138, and Gabe Vucelic-Frick took 4th at 160.
        After semester exams, the Hornets will take on further competition when they compete in the Brunswick Invitational. Congrats to Coach Blair Tugman and the team on another outstanding performance.
