Maria Kozdroy 2014 Earns Civil Engineering Degree

Jodi Amatulli
Maria Kozdroy, Class of 2014, graduated with her Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in May 2018. While completing her undergraduate degree, she was inducted into Chi Epsilon, the Civil Engineering Honor Society and sat on RPI’s American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) board. Maria participated in designing and building RPI’s ASCE steel bridge, served as an editor for the school newspaper The Polytechnic, and served as a resident assistant for a freshman residence hall for two years. Maria also earned her first Intramural Championship in frisbee after seven semesters of playing with her schoolmates since freshman year. One of Maria's goals has always been to work and live in New York City—a goal she has achieved! Maria is interning at Arup, an engineering consultant company in lower Manhattan. She will be working in Arup’s Bridges in Civil Structures group this summer. She will continue her education at RPI for another year to complete her Master of Engineering in structural engineering in the fall. Congratulations, Maria.
