Boys’ Varsity Basketball Stuns in Home Game

The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team defended its home court against Greens Farms Academy on Tuesday, February 14, winning 94-54.

Sophomore Ben Miller came strong out of the gate and tallied 20 points for the Hornets while junior Mason Gorham protected the net and added 11 points to the scoreboard. Senior Alex Puhl, junior Alex Prezioso, and sophomore Nate McCleery all took charge in the second half on the defensive line to help the team maintain its lead and final win.

“We had a really strong game today and shot the ball well from start to finish,” said Alex. “It’s great to have this momentum going into the last week of the season.”

Coach Sean Doherty commented that he is proud of the team’s effort and it was great to see everyone sharing the ball.

The Hornets tip off against Fairchester Athletic Association League rival the King School Vikings on Thursday, February 16, at 4:30 p.m. at the Beckerman Athletic Center.
