Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team Edges Out Competition
The Boys’ Varsity Basketball Team traveled to N.Y., to face off against Storm King School on Saturday, January 14.
In a non-league game, the Hornets bear the Cougars with a final score of 76-64. All players got a chance to be part of the game including senior Jordan Vermiglio and junior Mason Gorham, who kept the defensive plays in motion. Senior Alex Puhl capitalized on the opponents turnovers and netted 15 points while sophomore Nate McCleery and sophomore Ben Miller found the open shots to score combined 27 points.
“Great on the road team win,” commented Coach Sean Doherty.
Sophomore Ben Miller noted that the team was ready to go as soon as they got off the bus and everyone chipped in throughout the game to get the win.

The team returns home to the Beckerman Athletic Center to tip off against Greenwich Country Day School on Saturday, January 21, at 2 p.m.
