Aboard Vacation for Class of 1984 Alumnus and Family

Class of 1984 alumnus Chris O’Neill, his wife Sowjanya, and their two children son Devin and daughter Sarita returned from a two week holiday trip to Portugal, the first family abroad trip in years.

 

The family enjoyed a myriad of activities before returning to attend Devin’s graduation from Duquesne University in Pittsburg, Penn., while Sarita is a rising junior at College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va.

 

Professionally, Chris works as the Regional Director of Sales at Dynatrace, a software company that helps the world’s cloud app and software work perfectly. He joined in 2020 and works to, through, and with US Federal System Integrators. His responsibilities include hiring and coaching sales professionals, service people, and systems engineers to meet said revenue targets. Chris travels on the road to speak at events and tradeshows.

 

He noted that Hamden Hall helped him develop the necessary skills to succeed. He commented that the “exposure to ideas from around the world helped me build the confidence to be successful anywhere in the world” and homework aided in developing the abilities “to consume lots of information, synthesize meaning, and convey cogent thoughts.”

 

Chris further noted that former Headmaster Richard Dolvin gave insightful advice to his class stating that there was “so much in life to experience, but if we were not careful we would lose much of what we learned to the fog of memory.”

 

Chris and Sowjanya currently reside in McLean, Va., with their dog, a poodle named Tucker.  The couple recently embarked on a home renovation project recycling the materials from their current home in McLean and working with an architect to “go modern” in the Langley Forest neighborhood. The move in date is set for the holidays.
