2020 Alumnus Appointed to Canadian Reserves

Felix-Alexander Curtiss, Class of 2020, was sworn in Sept. 21 as a new member of the Canadian Reserves.

He will be working as a Pioneer/Engineer part time during evenings and weekends as he is currently enrolled as a sophomore at Dalhousie University studying engineering.

Felix-Alexander’s passion for engineering started when he was 4 years old. According to his mom, Lucie Curtiss, he started filling journals with design and problem-solving ideas to help the environment. This passionate spark turned to the idea of joining the military when he turned 12 and has now come full circle.

Mrs. Curtiss mentioned that Felix-Alexander, who entered Hamden Hall in the fifth grade, was impacted by a plethora of faculty – former and current – including: Dave Bennett, Steve Jewett, Beth Rosenberg Richter 1985, Kiki Carlson, Judith Bratt, Dr. Frank Gasparro, Dr. Bruce Zundell, Maria Agulian, Arnold Sabatelli, Beth Hunter, and Bud Kohler.
