Young Alums Interning at Ed-Tech Startup
Young alums Riya Kapur and Akash Jyothish, former classmates in the Class of 2019, are interning at GradGab, a company that helps high school students find the perfect college via student mentors. The new platform connects prospective college students with current college mentors to have live, one-on-one video calls that help rising juniors and seniors discover, explore, apply, and get into more schools for less money. Cherishing their time at Hamden Hall, Riya and Akash said they want to share GradGab as a resource to assist rising junior and senior Hornets, especially with campus visits coming to a halt due to the pandemic. GradGab is currently offering a free pilot program featuring a 30-minute video chat with a current college mentor at the student’s college of choice.
