2005 Alumna Returns to America and Expecting First Child

Jodi Amatulli
After six years living in Tel Aviv, Israel, Emily “Feldman” Pfeffer, Class of 2005, and her husband, Michael Pfeffer, have moved to Boston and are expecting their first child in October. The couple got married in Netanya, Israel, in August 2018.
Emily earned a Bachelor of Art in religious studies from Union College in 2010 and a master’s in Jewish studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 2013. While in Israel, Emily worked at several different places but for the last 2 ½ years she was in the admissions department at an international school at a university called the InterDisciplinary Center in Herzliya.
Emily met Michael in Israel. He is from Baltimore and moved to Israel 11 years ago after graduating from Syracuse University.  Michael served in the Israeli Army for three years as a paratrooper. Most recently, he worked in data management at CheckPoint, a cyber-security tech company.
When Emily thinks back to her Hamden Hall days, she fondly remembers “the amazing faculty who genuinely cared about each student's academic and personal success and future.”
Emily and Michael are pictured at their wedding in August 2018; in Herzliya, Israel, October 2018; Seychelles, February 2019; and Salzburg, Austria December 2019.
