2016 Alumnus is UConn Honors Graduate

Moishe “Elie” Azoff-Slifstein, Class of 2016, graduated in May 2020 from the Honors Program at the University of Connecticut (UConn) with a Bachelor of Science in engineering, majoring in materials science and engineering. ELIE was a 2019 New England Scholar. During his undergraduate career he interned at Pfizer in the materials science department and completed an International Bachelor of Excellence (IBEX) internship abroad at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev last summer. Elie’s research focused on renewable energy, specifically in making new hybrid solar cells. He was also on the UConn rock climbing team.Next year, Elie will be in the doctoral program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he will continue his studies and research in materials science and engineering.
