1981 Alumnus Publishes COVID-19 Business Stories
Attorney David Slossberg, Class of 1981, recently shared words of wisdom dealing with business issues relating to COVID-19. David is a 1985 graduate of Columbia University and 1988 graduate of the New York University School of Law. He began his legal career litigating at a large law firm in New York City and returned to Connecticut in 1994 where he became a partner and then co-owner of the Milford law firm of Hurwitz, Sagarin, Slossberg & Knuff, LLC.
During his more than 30 years of legal practice, David has been a tenacious advocate for his clients, trying cases to jury verdict and arguing in the Connecticut Supreme Court on behalf of domestic and international businesses and high net-worth individuals. He is also a sought after mediator, arbitrator, and special master in complex business disputes.
David balances work with a number of passions, including hiking hundreds of miles on the Appalachian Trail and fighting hate as the Connecticut Board Chair and National Commissioner for the Anti-Defamation League.
David lives in Milford with his wife, Gayle, who recently retired from the Connecticut state senate and now serves as the chief compliance and integrity officer at Yale New Haven Health.
David and Gayle are proud parents of three children. Their son, Jeremy, is a Hamden Hall alumnus, Class of 2010, and a 2015 Sarah Lawrence College graduate. Jeremy is working for Webster Bank. Alex is a 2017 UCONN graduate and is working as an electrical engineer in Boston. Rebecca will graduate in May 2020 (remotely given COVID-19) from Penn State University.
