1998 Alumnus Shares Update

Jodi Amatulli
Joseph Forte, Class of 1998, shared an update on his family and career. Joe has three children, Lauren, 10, Ashley, 8, and Alex, 6. Lauren, a fifth-grader, has been elected to the student council. Ashley enjoys singing and soccer. “Alex loves baseball and the Dodgers like his grandpa and dad—more than likely brainwashed than a real choice!”
On the professional front, Joe is general manager and general partner of the private equity fund, Elk Homes Partners LP specializing in residential and multifamily holdings in Westchester and Fairfield Counties with a current portfolio value estimated at approximately $400 million. “In my time at the fund, we expanded holdings in lower Connecticut towns and oversaw the development of apartment buildings that has more than doubled the value.”
As for his alma mater, Joe says he has many fond memories of Hamden Hall as it was the only school he “ever knew.” Recalling his Pre-School days, he fondly remembers Mrs. Harris, the Valentine’s Day bake sale, and that "C is for cookie.” He also enjoyed helping Middle Schoolers as a Middle School Advocate during his senior year. As for baseball, “It has become a lifelong passion which originated as a member of the Hornets program.” He said that during the summers, he worked in the maintenance department with Jim Hunter, Class of 1980, and enjoyed “a great camaraderie” among that group. “Hamden Hall is a very special place to me, and I will always hold it dear to my heart.”
