Chris Bruno 1984 Celebrates First Anniversary

Chris Bruno, Class of 1984, and his wife, Cindy, recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary. In a Facebook post on Feb. 24, Chris shared the following message: “There’s a reason I waited 50 years to walk down the aisle!! I was waiting for @cindygraciebruno to sweep me off my feet. Well, she did and a year ago today we walked the walk together with a small gathering of friends and immediate family on the beach in #kauai My heart is full and will remain that way until we leave this earth. Thanks to all that could make it and a special thanks to @malcolmjamalwar for being kind enough to write the most amazing spoken word pertinent to OUR lives and be our minister. We laughed we cried and no one hurled. Baby I will love you forever❤ I always believed YOU were out there. Never give up on what you believe in #truelove — with Rock Sake.” Chris proudly noted that Cindy is a trauma doctor and also works with the Los Angeles Kings. “I think my mother would be very proud since my grandfather was chief of staff at Yale,” Chris said. His late mother is Nancy Mendillo Bruno, Class of 1961, who was a good friend to Hamden Hall and active alumna during her lifetime.
