FAA Wrestling Tournament Highlights & Record Pin
Congratulations to wrestlers Klyde Auba and Pearson Hill for winning the Fairchester League Tournament in their weight categories.
Klyde, a senior, took home the gold at 182 lbs., while Pearson, an 8th grader, captured the 152 lb. title.
Previous to the FAA, the team traveled to the quiet western CT corner to take on Marvelwood School. The Hornets rocked the host Pterodactyls 53-6. The highlight was when senior Ethan Fuoco pinned his opponent in a school record 7 seconds!
Former wrestling standout Toby Ngwangu had held the record at 9 seconds, which also became the prep state tournament record, as he accomplished it in the WNEISWA final.
The team hits the mat Saturday when they travel to Jonathan Law HS.
