Hamden Hall Students Earn AP Scholar Designation
Nearly 30 percent of the students in our 2017-2018 junior and senior classes have been recognized as AP Scholars by the College Board.
For their outstanding achievement on spring 2018 AP exams, 51 students were classified as AP Scholars, 17 of whom received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
Another nine were recognized as AP Scholars with Honor, which is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
The largest grouping – 25 – earned AP Scholars with Distinction status, meaning that they received an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
Of those 25, three were named National AP Scholars, the pinnacle of the AP program. The distinction is granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.
