AP Scholars Recognized

Hamden Hall is proud to announce that 59 students in our 2019-2020 sophomore, junior, and senior classes earned AP Scholar Recognition.

The AP Program "recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on multiple AP Exams."

This year's awards included 30 Scholars with Distinction and 12 Scholars with Honor. AP Scholar with Distinction is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. AP Scholar with Honor is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

Four seniors were also recognized as National AP Scholars: Jianzhou Liu, Alexis Mackay, Eduardo Pagliaro-Haque, and Orly Richter. According to the AP Program, the National AP Scholar designation is "granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams."
