It is imperative that every member of our school community commits to the successful reopening of our campus. Both on campus and off, we must adhere to basic guidelines as provided by the CDC, the State of Connecticut, and local and regional health agencies with regard to social distancing, wearing face coverings, being mindful of large gatherings, and remaining alert as to our own personal health and hygiene.
Quarantine Protocol
If a student, faculty, or staff member tests positive for COVID-19, they must stay at home for 10 days and consult with the school’s health professionals before returning to school.
If a student, faculty, or staff member is exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, they must stay out of school and quarantine for 14 days.
If a student, faculty, or staff member suspects they’ve been exposed to someone who is COVID-19 positive, they must self-quarantine for 14 days or until it is confirmed that the potentially exposed individual is not COVID-19 positive.
Potential Classroom/Cohort/School Shutdown
Any decision to close campus will be made in consultation with the State of Connecticut, local and state health agencies, our Board of Trustees, and the Hamden Hall leadership team.
Travel Restrictions
We continue to place the health and safety of our school community as our top priority. As such, we are abiding by the State of Connecticut’s Executive Order (No. 7III) for out-of-state travel.
All students and employees must self-quarantine for 14 days upon their return to Connecticut if they travel to or from any of the states noted on the Connecticut Travel Advisory List.
Contact Tracing
Several of our employees have been trained to serve as contact tracers. If a student or
Faculty/staff member tests positive for COVID-19, these individuals will work directly with the local health agency to determine others who may have been exposed.
