Welcome to Hamden Hall’s Summer Academy 2008!
Hamden Hall’s Summer Academy offers outstanding programs to enrich students of all ages. Students who attend our summer academy will be
taught by outstanding faculty. The course offerings are rich and varied to appeal to the many different interests of those who choose to attend. Summer is a perfect time for students to enjoy learning for learning’s sake. We keep our class size small to enable students to get the personal attention they deserve. For the younger students we offer the Combination Program which allows them to enjoy our wonderful camp programs. Again, welcome! If there are any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Hamden Hall SUMMER ACADEMY
Summer Academy offers a wide variety of one to six week courses for students in grades Pre K-12. Please note that many of the courses (especially in the Middle and Upper School) are three weeks in length. This gives the individual student the opportunity to schedule a variety of activities during the
summer months and still have time to spend with the family on vacation. Each detailed course description includes time, dates, grade level and tuition cost per section. For updates on course availability, or to discover new offerings which have been added to our catalog, please visit our web site at www.hamdenhall.org.

Any student who wishes to receive credit for a summer school course should contact the summer school office and request that a transcript be sent to his/her school. Please be aware that the decision to award credit is made by the school which the student attends during the regular school year. Eligible students may also take selected courses for credit. Successful completion of a Credit course allows a Hamden Hall student to advance to the next level of the course in September. It does not reduce the number of courses to be taken that year.

The Swain Library is located on the Hamden Hall Campus and, during summer session, is open each day from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00. The librarian will be available to assist students. Computers are located in the library’s technology center and will be available to students for their use.
