It is an honor to welcome you to Hamden Hall Country Day School's website. As Head of School, it is a privilege to be part of this warm community where we watch children grow. From the small youngsters in preschool to our college-bound seniors, our students are being prepared for the next academic step in their lives. Hamden Hall's mission is to instill integrity in our students, while building a sense of social responsibility in each student and preparing them for a demanding college program. In the process, our faculty inspires in our students a love of learning that extends far beyond the classroom.
Hamden Hall offers a well rounded, diverse program that combines academics, athletics, technology, and the visual and performing arts. In 2012, our community will celebrate its 100th anniversary as an educational institution hallmarked by its academic excellence, extraordinary teachers, and extensive extracurricular activities that support stewardship and citizenship.
I would like to share my personal footnote with you. Hamden Hall is in my heart. I have spent two decades here, devoting my professional life to the school. It is not just the place where I work, it is my home. And it is home to my wife who also works here, and our three children who attend school here. So, when I talk about Hamden Hall being a community, these words take on a deeper meaning. I feel very strongly about our school, and I encourage you to consider our community as a good place for both you and your child to also call home.
