All-Star Play for Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse

The Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse Team hosted King School for a home game on Monday, April 15, winning 16-5.

Senior Lily Schoonmaker led the Lady Hornets with six goals with fellow senior Ella Bessoni, and sophomores Anya Carter and Emily Savik scoring a combined six goals. Freshman Lily Maher scored two goals and one assist and eighth-grader Kaja Millhouse scored two goals and two assists. Eighth-grader Scottie Beck secured the victory in the net with four saves.

Coach Emily Anderson noted that Lily has officially scored her 250th career goal during the game. The team record is now 4-2 overall for the season.

The team returns to the field for a matchup against Ethel Walker School on Wednesday, April 17, at 4 p.m. The game will also be dedicated to the life and legacy of Morgan Rogers, who tragically passed after battling mental health struggles. “Morgan’s Message” aims to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, normalize the conversations about mental health, and ensure that mental health is treated equally to physical health for all student-athletes.
