Take Interstate 84 east to Exit 41. A large highway sign (American School for the Deaf) is posted immediately before the Exit. Make a left at the end of the Exit. This is South Main Street. Continue on Main Street to the 6th traffic light. This will be West Hartford Center. South Main Street now becomes North Main Street. Go straight through the intersection of Farmington Avenue to the 7th and 8th traffic light. This will be Fern Street. Continue straight and A.S.D. is located a short distance up the road on the left hand side. The second driveway is the entrance.

From the north:
Take Interstate 84 west to Exit 41. Make a right at the end of the Exit and follow the directions above.

From the west:
Take Route 44 east over Avon Mountain into West Hartford. Make a right at the intersection of Albany Avenue and North Main Street. (There will be a shopping area on the right hand corner with gas stations on the other 3 corners.) A.S.D. is located about one mile past the 2nd traffic light on the right hand side. The first driveway is the entrance.

From the east:
Take Route 44 west to Interstate 84 and follow the directions for traveling from the north.

From Upstate New York:
Take New York Thruway to Massachusetts Turnpike (90 east). Take Mass. Pike to Interstate 91 south in the Springfield area. Continue on I-91 south to Hartford, CT. Bear right onto Exit 32 to Interstate 84 west. Use caution at the end of the Exit. (Your vehicle must bear left on to I-84). Follow directions above "From the north."

From Albany:
Take New York Thruway east to Massachusetts border, then south on NY Route 22 to Route 23 in Hillsdale, NY. Go east on Route 23 to South Egremont, MA. Go south on Route 41. The entrance to the school will be on the right (about 3 miles).

From Hartford:
Take Route 44 west to Canaan, CT, then north on Route 7 to Sheffield. In Sheffield, turn left on Berkshire School Road. At the end of Berkshire School Road, turn right onto Route 41. The entrance to the school is on the left, about one-quarter of a mile.

From New York:
Take the Saw Mill River Parkway, then Interstate 684 to Brewster, NY, then Route 22 to Millerton, NY. Turn right (east) on Route 44, going through Lakeville and Salisbury, CT, then Route 41 (north). Berkshire School is on the left, about 13 miles north of the village of Salisbury.

From the Mass Pike and Storrow Drive East:
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) east to Exit 18, Allston/Cambridge. Follow the signs to Cambridge to the second set of lights. Turn right at the lights; this is Soldiers Field Road/Storrow Drive East. (Embassy Suites Hotel is on your right.) Exit Storrow Drive at the first Exit - Boston University. This is University Road, and the entrance to the parking lot is on the right just before Commonwealth Avenue.

From Route 93 North or South:
Exit onto Storrow Drive/West. Continue on Storrow Drive and take the Kenmore Square Exit. At the first set of traffic lights, turn right onto Beacon Street. At this point, the road forks; bear right onto Bay State Road. Drive approximately half a mile to the end of Bay State Road, and take a left onto Granby Street. ( You avoid Kenmore Square and Commonwealth Avenue lights this way.) Next, take a right onto Commonwealth Avenue. At the third light, turn right onto University Road. (This is just before the B.U. Bridge, and it is the road that leads to Storrow Drive East.) Once on University Road, take an immediate left into the parking lot.

From Commonwealth Avenue heading east into Boston:
As you approach the traffic light at the B.U. Bridge, get into the far right lane. Turn right at the lights. Follow the signs "West to Cambridge/Arlington." Go all the way around the bend to the set of lights at Commonwealth Avenue. You will be right across the street from the Academy. Proceed across Commonwealth Avenue onto University Road. Turn left into the parking lot.

From the South:
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to route 495 North. Take 95 North off of 495. Follow 95 to Portsmouth, NH. Take a left hand exit off of 95 onto the Spaulding Turnpike North - I believe that the exit sign says, "New Hampshire Lakes and Mountains."

Follow the Spaulding Turnpike north to exit 15 - route 11 west. Follow 11 West for @ 17 miles to the Alton traffic circle. Go straight up the side of the circle (oval) and exit on route 28 North. Stay on 28 North for about 7 miles into Wolfeboro.

As you approach the center of town, you will see the Academy on the left. The first entrance says, "Student Parking and Deliveries." If you enter campus here, the gym is ahead of you 1/2 way down toward the lake on your right. A large brick building with few windows. If you miss this entrance and take the one by the stone walls, circle down to the lake and head back up the hill hill to the gym which will be on your left.

From Maine:
Take the Maine TPK. to Exit 8 - Wstbrook/Biddeford. Off the exit, take Route 25 west to Route 16 in Ossipee. Take Route 16 south for about three miles to Route 28 west (sign will say Wolfeboro). Follow Route 28 for approx. 10 miles to a yellow blinking light atop a hill in the middle of town. Brewster's Monument Field will be directly in front of you. Turn left and then an immediate right on to the campus. Go to the bottom of the hill by the lake and park in the area of the boathouse.

Directions for Ice Hockey:
Brewster Academy plays all home hockey games at the Whalen Rink in Wolfeboro - a five minute drive from the Academy. Travel past the Academy and turn right at flashing light onto 28N. After one-half mile, turn left onto Route 109A. Look for ice arena approximately two miles on the left.

Directions for Tennis at Pierce Camp Birchmont from Brewster Academy:
At the blinking light at Main Street and Center Street (by Brewster's Monument Field) turn right between the Mobil station and the Citgo station onto Route 109 east. Follow 109 (don't bear left at a fork onto 109A) for about 3 miles to a blinking light. On the left is a convenience store called "Christy's". Turn right at the light (still 109 east) and go for another 3 miles passing Lake Wentworth on the right. You will go up a long straight hill. When you are almost at the top of the hill there will be a yellow road sign indicating a road entering on the right - that is the entrance to the camp. It has a white swinging gate and a hanging sign (in season). Drive in and park on the pavement the camp vehicles will not be blocked.

From the Maine Turnpike (95N) North or South:
Take the Maine Turnpike's Exit 8. Proceed through the toll booth to a traffic light. Take a right and proceed through the next two traffic lights. At the next traffic light, take a left onto Route 302 west and proceed for approximately thirty seven miles to the town of Bridgton. At the traffic light in Bridgton, proceed straight through on to Route 117 north for three miles to the intersection of Routes 302/37. Turn left onto Route 37 for a quarter of a mile. Turn left on to Chadbourne Hill Road. Proceed up the hill and turn left by the tennis courts. Playing fields, Memorial Gymnasium and Bridgton Ice Arena are straight ahead.

From the West:
From points west, follow appropriate routes to Conway, NH. Take Route 302 east
to Fryeburg, ME. Continue for approximately twenty miles to Bridgton. At the traffic light in Bridgton, turn left on Route 117 north. Proceed as above.

From Portland, ME:
Take Route 95 south to Route 495 south. Follow directions above from this point. (1 hr. 40 min.)

From Hartford and the west:
Take Route 84 east to Route 90 east (Mass Pike). Take Route 290 north through Worcester to Route 495 north. Take Mass Ave/North Andover Exit off 495. Turn right off the Exit and go 1.3 miles to Route 125. Turn left onto Route 125 and go 2 miles. Turn right onto Route 133 along the lake. Main gate of the school is 1.4 miles up on the right. (2 hours).

Take Exit 17 (Grapevine Road, Beverly Farms) and turn right onto Grapevine Road. Follow this road to the end which brings you to Route 127. Tennis at Greenwich Academy:
From the Post Road: Go East on the Post Road past the Riverside Shopping Center. At the first light, take a right onto Sound Beach Avenue. Proceed as above.

Hockey at Dorothy Hamill Rink:
From Route 1, northbound: Turn right at first traffic light in Connecticut onto Western Junior Highway. Take second right onto Henry Street. Turn at first onto Sherman Avenue. At the top of the hill, turn right.

From Route 1, southbound: Turn left at fifth traffic light past MacDonald's, onto Western Junior Highway. Proceed as above.

From I-95, northbound: Take Exit 2. Turn left at stop sign, bear left at first traffic light. Under thruway bridge, bear right. Take first left onto Byram Road after stop sign. Take first right onto Sherman Avenue. At the top of the hill, turn right.

From I-95, southbound: Take Exit 2. Take second right. After stop sign, take first right onto Sherman Avenue. At the top of the hill, turn right.

Storrow Drive, Memorial Drive, Greenough Blvd. and Fresh Pond Parkway all lead to the Upper School. The school is located adjacent to the Charles River, between Exits 17 and 18 off of Route 90.
Suggested route to Upper Campus: Take Exit 17 off of Route 90 (Turnpike extension), travel over the Charles River. Turn left onto Memorial Drive and continue straight ahead to the Upper School Campus (approx. two miles).
Buckingham Field: On Fresh Pond Parkway opposite the Cambridge reservoir between Huron Avenue and Poplar Road.
Lower School Gym: 10 Buckingham Street between Craigie Street and Concord Avenue.

Go west on Mass. Ave. (toward Arlington), past Porter Square, to Walden Street on the left (Kentucky Fried Chicken on the corner). Go left on Walden Street to Sherman Street (2nd set of lights, Masses Hardware on the corner). Take a right on Sherman Street and Cadbury Road is the first right.

From the west, coming into Cambridge on the Concord Turnpike (Route 2):
After the traffic lights at the end of Concord Turnpike, follow Route 2 over the railroad bridge, past the shopping centers on left and right, to circle at Fresh Pond. Go 3/4 around circle and join Concord Ave. (from Belmont). Follow a short distance (along Fresh Pond) to 2nd circle. Go 1/2 way around it to continue on Concord Ave. Turn left at first set of lights at Walden Street. Take Walden Street to 2nd set of lights, turn left on Sherman Street and take first right at Cadbury Road.

From the Mass Turnpike:
Get off at the Allston-Cambridge Exit and head for Cambridge, cross the river and turn left onto Memorial Drive (Route 2). Follow the Drive past Harvard Square and onto Fresh Pond Parkway (still Route 2). At a set of lights (Fresh Pond Park on the far left-hand corner) take Huron Avenue to the right. Follow to the first set of lights, turn left onto Reservoir Street, which soon turns into Walden Street. At the third set of lights turn left for one block on Sherman and first right onto Cadbury Road.

Interstate 684 North. Get off at Exit 9E (Danbury), onto I-84 East to Exit 7 (Route 7, New Milford). In New Milford, take the right over the bridge (just past Southworth's Chrysler), and then a left after the third light at the village green. Proceed to the end of the green, make a sharp left and then a sharp right on Aspetuck Avenue. Canterbury School is at the top of the hill on Aspetuck Avenue.

From Hartford:
Interstate 84 to Exit 15 (Southbury). Turn right at stop sign onto Route 67. Approximately one and a half miles down the road, Route 67 turns to the left. Watch for signs for Roxbury - Washington. Route 67 will bring you to Main Street, New Milford. Proceed to the end of the village green, make a left and then a quick right onto Aspetuck Avenue. The school is at the top of the hill.

From Albany - New York State:
Take the New York Thruway south to the Mass. Pike Extension, then to the Taconic Parkway, South. Exit at Millbrook, NY. Turn left at the bottom of the Exit onto Route 44 east to Route 343 east to Route 22 south into New Milford. At the light in New Milford, go left over the river and then proceed as above around the village green.

Take Route 28 to the Osterville intersection and turn east onto Osterville-W. Barnstable Road. Travel one-half mile until you see signs for the school on your left. Busses may park alongside fields on your right.

Exit 10 (Mt. Carmel Connector). Take first Exit off connector. Go left off ramp and then less than 1/4 mile to Hartford Turnpike traffic light. Left at that light and continue straight south through third traffic light (about 2 1/2 miles) to Davis Street. Right on Davis, cross Lake Whitney to next light at Whitney Avenue. Right on Whitney Avenue and almost immediate left to school.

From Route 10 south:
Route 10 south from Cheshire, through Mt. Carmel part of Hamden. Route 10 becomes Whitney Avenue. Through center of town and continue approximately three miles to school on right.

From I-95:

Take either I-84 east or I-91 south to Hartford (if you're coming down I-91, get onto I-84 east). Take Route 2 east (Norwich - New London) to Exit 19 (Route 11). Follow Route 11 to the end. At the bottom of the ramp, go left onto Route 82 east. Follow Route 82 into Montville. Continue as above.

From Rhode Island and southeastern MA:
Take I-95 south. Take Exit for Route 32 north (Exit will be on the right just as you cross the Groton-New London bridge over the Thames River). Get on Route 32 and follow to the junction of I-395. Take I-395 north to Exit 80 W (Route 82). Follow Route 82 approximately 5 miles to the junction with Route 163. Go right onto Route 163 north (you will pass both Route 163 south and a Getty Mart on your left). Follow Route163 approximately 1 mile and take a left onto Doyle Road. Route 2 east to Exit 28 (Norwich). Route 395 south. Left off this road to Route 32. Follow Route 32 until you see an overhead walkway; after this take a right at the second traffic light, which will be the Connecticut College campus. At the top of the turn, go left; the school is on the left.

From I-95:
Exit 83 (from the south) or Exit 84N (from the north). Route 32 in New London. Look for signs to Connecticut College. The Williams School is on the Connecticut College campus.

Note: Boys baseball and soccer games are played at the Waterford Babe Ruth Field.
Take Route 95 south to the Cross Roads Exit, (81). Take a left and continue to the stop sign. Turn left onto the Cross Roads. Go straight to the light and cross over, going onto Spithead Road. Continue for 3-4 miles to stop sign. Take right onto Route 156 and continue about 1/2 mile and take 1st left onto Gardner's Wood Road. Gate to field is about 100 feet on right.

From New York and the south:
Follow I-91 north to the Exit for Route 2 east. Proceed on Route 2 east to Winchendon Exit at the junction of Route 202 north. Continue on Route 202 north. In Winchendon bear right at the junction of Route 202 North and Route 12. Continue on Route 12 for a quarter mile and bear right onto Ash Street.

From the West:
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to the Cambridge/Allston Exit. Take the Cambridge fork at the Exit. After the first set of lights and before the bridge, turn right on to Storrow Drive. Head toward Boston (the skyline) to the third Exit, Kenmore/Fenway/Route 1 south. Take the Fenway Route 1 south Exit. (This Exit is half way up the ramp just after the Kenmore Square Exit.) Bear right on to Boylston Street, outbound.
1. Follow Boylston Street to the end where Brookline Avenue joins it from the right at a major intersection - (the old Sears building will be on your right).
2. Go straight across the intersection and bear right in to Pilgrim Roadimmediately after the last set of lights on the far side on the intersection. (Pilgrim Road Exits onto the same intersection.
3. Go to the top of Pilgrim Road. The Winsor School is on the corner of Pilgrim Road and Short Street (both one-way streets). Parking is either directly ahead behind the gym, or to your right, in front of the school.

From Boston and the North Shore from Routes 93/1 North:
Take Storrow Drive to the Kenmore /Fenway/Route 1 south Exit. Follow signs for Boylston Street outbound. Proceed as in #1 above.

From Routes 93/1 South:
Take 93/1 north to the Exit for Columbia Road and Massachusetts Avenue. Follow Massachusetts Avenue north to the intersection with Beacon Street. Turn left onto Beacon Street and continue to Kenmore Square. At Kenmore Square, bear left onto Brookline Avenue and continue to the major intersection at the old Sears building. Proceed as from #2 above.

From Providence, RI:
Take I-95 north. I-95 becomes Route 128. Choose I-95/Route 128 toward Dedham. At Dedham, take Route 1 north toward Boston. Route 1 becomes the VFW Parkway, Jamaica Way (and may have a few other section names inbetween). Stay on Route 1 until the intersection with Brookline Avenue. Cross Brookline Avenue on to the Riverway. bear right all the way on the Riverway until it intersects again with Brookline Avenue at the third set of traffic lights. Take a right onto Brookline Avenue and continue turning right on to Pilgrim Road (which exits on to the same intersection). Proceed as from #3 above.

From Albany:
Taconic Parkway south to 44 east to Amenia. Continue on Route 343 east to Route 4 east to Goshen. Right onto Route 63 south, through Litchfield, to Route 61 south to Bethlehem. At the blinking light take a left onto Route 132. Go 1/2 mile to Harrison Lane on the right. School is 1/4 mile on the right.

Wooster Community Art Center is on the right. The main entrance to Wooster School is just ahead on the right.

From New York City:
I-684 north to I-84 east to Exit 1 (Saw Mill Road). Turn right at the end of the ramp and proceed for 2.3 miles. Turn left at the intersection of Ridgebury Road and George Washington Highway (The Ridgebury Congregational Church is on the right). Turn left onto George Washington Highway for 1.2 miles. Proceed through the four-way intersection. The school will be 1/2 mile on the left.

From the Southern Connecticut Shoreline:
I-95 to Route 7 north and take the Danbury Airport Exit. Turn left on to Miry Brook Road, southeast of the Danbury Municipal Airport. Proceed westbound on Miry Brook along the airport perimeter to the intersection with Backus Avenue at the entrance to the Wooster Community Art Center. Turn left at the fork. The school entrance is just ahead on the right.
