Lower School
Admission Committee bases its decision on a review of an applicant’s developmental readiness, previous academic record, classroom visit, and the recommendation of the sending school.
A developmental preschool screening is individually administered to Pre-Kindergarten applicants. Kindergarten and Grade One applicants are screened for reading and math readiness levels as well as developmental tasks.
Applicants for Grades Two through Four spend a day visiting the classroom. During the visitation day, they are evaluated in reading, math and writing. Grade Five and Six applicants visit the classroom for a day and are administered an admission examination in reading, math and writing, at scheduled times during the academic year.
