Wilma R. Russell Merrill, Class of 1957
Wilma R. Russell Merrill, Hamden Hall Class of 1957, of Sandwich, Mass., passed away unexpectedly on April 27 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. She was 84. Wilma is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gary, her son Jonas, her sister Eleanor Russell, Hamden Hall Class of 1953, and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Christopher Merrill, daughter Jennifer Merrill, and her brother, Kenneth Russell.
After graduating from Hamden Hall, Wilma attended Colby College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. She went on to work at several Boston area hospitals, and spent 10 years at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital working in the Chemistry lab.
